Casa Talpa, Residence

1995

Built entirely of formed pumice-crète, this two thousand square foot residence was designed for a retired single woman on an open parcel of land that backs up to the Rio Grande del Rancho River. The simple, open plan welcomes a variable living program while offering ample space for accommodating growing work and bedroom needs. A modest guest casita sits to the south of the main residence, with an enclosed courtyard and entry portal flanking the broad sides of the plan.
